Scripture Instructs us to Praise Him and His Name... Praise Yah!
How, Why, and What does that mean?
Tetragrammaton- the four Hebrew letters usually transliterated YHWH or JHVH that form a biblical proper name of God. 1
The King James Version (KJV) and other translations use “the Lord”, a common noun, to replace the Sacred Name, a proper noun, or the Tetragrammaton. “(Tet·ra·gram·ma·ton/ˌtetrəˈɡraməˌtän/ noun: the Hebrew name of God transliterated in four letters as YHWH or (YHVH)JHVH and articulated as Yahweh or Jehovah.” (Wikipedia)
NCAY prefers the use of the more modern "V" as in YHVH in all printed works. But both the W and V equate to “waw/vav” and are pronounced very similarly in modern Hebrew. Hebrew vav or waw “represents the consonant [w] in classical Hebrew, and [v] in modern Hebrew, as well as the vowels [u] and [o]. W: Waw “waw with a dot above the letter is pronounced [o], and a waw with a dot under the letter is pronounced [u].”
V: “The letter ‘vav’ is pronounced ‘v’ in modern Hebrew. However, in ancient Hebrew it was pronounced ‘w’." (A letter in print does not make a sound in and of itself!) And, if you do not want pagans or Gentiles to pronounce the true name of the God of Israel... what lengths would one go to produce confusion in its pronunciation and spelling? “God” in the KJV is replacing the Hebrew name “Elohim” in most places. A common noun. Elohim “is a Hebrew word meaning (plural) gods.” Although the word is plural, in the Hebrew Bible it usually takes a singular verb and refers to a single deity, particularly (but not always) the God of Israel. At other times it refers to deities in the plural. (Wikipedia.)
Most of the time NCAY in its writings and conversation uses the name "Yah" the shortened version of the sacred name in connection with praise and worship or in a less formal conversation. Hallelu(j)Yah is a Hebrew phrase in English: Praise Yah. There is no J in Hebrew (Or Greek) in which the word originates. The name "Yah" is found 49 times throughout the Old Testament most frequently associated with songs, worship, and praise to YHVH Himself in a poetic form.
The full pronunciation in English is Yeh-ho-vah. When writing or spelling the name, we use the modern Hebrew to English four letter “YHVH.” Much discussion and debate continues on the Jewish use of Adonai instead of the sacred name, and if the a, o, and a in Adonai should be placed in between the Y-H-V-H to make Yehovah. Although this is not our reasoning for using Yehovah, it does confirm our research.

I Chron. 23.30-31 The Priests or Levites under David were “to stand every morning to thank and praise YHVH, and likewise at evening. 31 and at every presentation of a burnt offering to YHVH on the Sabbaths and on the New Moons and on the set feasts…” NKJ

Psalm 18.3 ” I will call upon YHVH, who is worthy to be praised;” NKJ
Psalm 92.1 “It is good to give thanks to YHVH, to sing praises to Your Name, O Most High;”
II Chron. 15.2b “…YHVH is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you [abandon] Him, He will [abandon] you.” NKJ (forsake)
Psalm 113.1-3 “Praise Yah! Praise, O servants of YHVH; praise the name of YHVH. 2 Blessed be the name of YHVH from this time on and [forever]. 3 From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of YHVH is to be praised.”
Malachi 3.16 “… and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who revered YHVH and thought on His name.”

The First Temple was dedicated after Solomon built it and a covenant was made between YHVH and Israel through Solomon as king.
II Chron. 7.14 tells the terms of the Covenant which centered around obedience to His statutes and commandments. “If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to pray in this place. 16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.
